Just Taking It Day by Day

Had my appt today. All went pretty good. It was suppose to be at 9:15 am. I got there about 9:10...checked in...waited...and waited...went to the front desk, asked if Dr. S was behind already (cuz there werent many people in the waiting room!). They had forgot to put my chart up to let the nurse know i was there!!! So, I was 20 minutes late getting in to see him. He asked me how the iron was going. I told him that truthfully, I had only been taking it about 3 days!! He called and told me to start taking it last Monday!! I know, I know...not a good thing, but it was true. He measured the belly, all seems good there. Kenzi's heartrate was between 140 and 150....great there. I did have some protein spilling over in my urine, but I guess not enough that he was worried. My iron level did come back lower thou, so Dr. S had his nurse call me and tell me to MAKE SURE I take my iron supplements..which i havent been doing too well with. I threw out the mention of having my c-section on the 14th instead of the 17th. He said, well, assuming it was all good with Dr. E, he didnt have a problem with that. He asked me if it was good for me. I told him that I have been thinking about it. There are alot of issues with making sure that I have the blood ready for me just in case we need it. I am fine with that. Friday makes more sense in that case. I still would love to have a St. Patty's day baby thou. But then I got to thinking about it. Friday would be a good day too!! For the following reasons:

• blood would be ready for friday, not extra costs involved
• i would have the weekend to be in the hospital, we would have extra help for the older kids
• i could spend spring break with my kids instead of spending it in the hospital
• i would more than likely be out of the hospital for Carli's first birthday

I could probably go on and on. But those are the main things. I will of course have to figure out exactly how we would handle the older kids that day thou. Mikaela and Carter can go on to school for the day, and Keaton could go to the sitter. Maybe I could talk my mom into coming over and waiting with Mikaela and Carter until the bus comes, and then have her take Keaton to the sitter. That way Casey and I could have some time with Mackenzie by ourselves. I am sure I will be a blubbering mess thou.

Casey is still wanting to have people hold off on coming up to see us. I still dont want to do that. I personally love having everyone around. Plus, its not like i have to keep them entertained. They wont be there to see me in all my lovely after delivery glory. They will just want to see Mackenzie. I can doze off all I want!! I think I will talk to Casey about this again. Maybe after Mackenzie comes he can go pick Keaton up at the sitter, and then Mikaela and Carter can get out of school early to come up.

Arghhh!! There is so much to try to figure out!! Maybe attempting to get some sleep will help me think it thru. Not that I am getting much sleep these nites!!
